Front-end Engineering Lead/Architect | Full-time contract | Athens - GR


We are looking for a  Front-end Engineering Lead / Architect who will work directly with the engineering team, customer’s architect and product owners, with the aim to own the front-end architecture across the account and projects. The frontend architect will work across multiple engineering teams to ensure the development of maintainable and scalable products, and help improve the overall end user experience. His/her main assets are a solutions-oriented mindset, a strong sense of ownership and finding creative solutions to complex problems. 


Your daily work routine will include:

  • Lead the front-end architecture application implementation in collaboration with the broader engineering team;
  • Lead implementation of new UX initiatives to support the architecture decision and vision;
  • Ensure coding standards and architecture guidelines are respected and web applications meet scalability requirements;
  • Research, experiment with various technologies, and provide recommendations;
  • Proactively identify technical debt or improvement at the architecture level;
  • Advocate for improvements to product experience, quality, security, and performance.

Job requirements

  • BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development of large scale applications;
  • Previous experience working with multiple engineering teams, cross functional in nature;
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React. Node.js, Redux or similar modern technologies;
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL;
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements;
  • Experience building reusable components;
  • Understanding of the Agile Software Development methodologies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher);
  • Good team spirit and accountable for working in a multi-cultural and international environment.
