For our customer based in Malta - a European Institution, we are looking for a mid-level Application Developer to join our team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asylum, international protection, and reception conditions. The number of days onsite and remote is up to your suggestion (apart from the first week which must be onsite), with a higher rate for the onsite days.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Configuring, developing and implementing ICT components, including source code, unit tests, software components, design patterns, database schemas, and configuring the respective backend systems on cloud and on‑premises platforms and infrastructure.
Designing, prototyping, developing and testing the EUAA Operational Support Centre (C1) applications according to the prioritised backlog agreed between ICT and business.
Providing technical support for the information‑systems roadmap, including EUAA’s Azure cloud environment, SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
Creating and maintaining SharePoint Online site collections with multiple sites, unique navigation elements, custom content types and site columns, site pages, web‑part pages, workflows, retention policies and governance policies.
Implementing task automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) for ICT projects.
Implementing the final design (“look‑and‑feel”) of the user interface (UI).
Conducting technical reviews, including source‑code reviews, and ensuring that the application UI meets usability, functional and client UI guidelines and standards.
Designing, implementing, testing and maintaining integrations with other information systems and platforms as required.
Coordinating with the ICT team to align solution architecture and software engineering with current best practices.
Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including solution‑architecture documents, operational‑maintenance manuals, version‑description documents, release guidelines and user manuals.

Job requirements
Are you the perfect match?
University degree (BSc/MSc).
Minimum 6 years of experience in IT.
Be eligible to obtain a criminal record check.
Professional experience with software development in .NET 6 (or newer), C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework and VB.NET.
Professional experience in one or more front‑end JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue.js or React.
Professional experience with SharePoint Online on an enterprise application.
Professional experience developing unit tests to test front‑end functionality and back‑end functionality.
Professional experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure App Services, Microsoft Graph API and Azure DevOps.
Professional experience with Web APIs and performing system integrations.
Experience with tasks in website support.
Professional experience with web technologies, including JavaScript, XML, HTML5, CSS3, and web‑design frameworks such as Bootstrap CSS.
Professional experience with PowerShell scripting (or similar).
Professional experience independently with the structured query language (SQL), and with Microsoft SQL Server database structures and stored procedures, including the troubleshooting of database performance issues.
Professional experience with Azure Blob Storage or Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2.
Professional experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PnP (Patterns and Practices/Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Community) tools.
Professional experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Professional experience performing tasks with Microsoft Power Platform.
