Junior Application Developer for a European Institution located in Malta

As an Application Developer Junior working for one of our client, an European Institution based in Malta, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the design, development, implementation, testing, configuration, and maintenance of information systems. This includes working on projects such as the Operational Deployment System (ODS), the Country Operations Platform (COP), the Digital Platforms, and the Call for Expression of Interest (CEI), following current best practices and corporate strategy.

You will collaborate closely with the ICT Team, including the ICT Project Manager, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Testers, and other Application Developers, as well as Product Owners and Business Stakeholders. Together, you will analyze and design evolutionary changes, new features, and improvements to enhance the systems.

• Configuration, development, and implementation of ICT components

• Design, prototype, develop, and test applications

• Provide technical support in the information systems’ roadmap

• Implement task automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) for ICT projects

• Design and implement the final User Interface (UI) design

• Conduct technical reviews and ensure application UI meets usability and functional standards

• Design, implement, test, and maintain integrations with other information systems and platforms

• Support reporting on ICT Team activities and application status

• Produce and maintain technical documentation

Below is the list of required technologies—please let us know if they match your profile.

• Software development experience in .NET 6 (or newer), C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework.

• Proficiency in one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue.js or React.

• Ability to handle tasks related to website support.

• Familiarity with Web technologies, including JavaScript, XML, HTML/5, CSS/3, and web design frameworks like Bootstrap CSS.

• Experience in applying artificial intelligence models and algorithms.

• Working knowledge of SharePoint Online for enterprise applications.

• Capability to develop unit tests for software applications.

• Experience using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure App Services, Microsoft Graph API, or Azure DevOps.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting or similar technologies.

• Ability to work independently with structured query language (SQL) and Microsoft SQL Server database structures and stored procedures.
