THE BACKGROUND

As a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on architectural challenges, with in parallel dedicated hands-on technical work. 

 

YOUR MISSION

As part of this role, you will focus on: 

 

Architecture & Standardization 

  • Define, document, and evolve reference architectures (on-premises, hybrid, cloud). 

  • Standardize technical solutions: virtualization, systems, networking, storage and databases. 

  • Integrate cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). 

  • Identify deviations from technical standards, lead remediation or mitigation efforts. 

 

Cloud & Containerization 

  • Design and validate hybrid or full cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS). 

  • Integrate or evolve Kubernetes/Docker environments (on-premises, managed). 

  • Oversee security, performance, scalability, and cost aspects in cloud environments. 

 

Client-Facing & Governance 

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for client teams, particularly during migrations and integrations. 

  • Participate in proposal reviews, client presentations, and technical committees. 

  • Provide input on responses to requests for proposals and framing documents. 

 

Technical Leadership 

  • Act as technical lead on infrastructure, cloud, or outsourcing projects. 

  • Supervise engineers involved, coordinate technical tasks, and ensure overall consistency. 

  • Contribute to the definition of technological roadmaps and anticipate future developments. 

 

Compliance & Security 

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, etc. requirements. 

  • Apply best practices for cloud and container security (CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust...). 

  • Participate in audits, remediation plans, and normative documentation. 

 

Job requirements

YOUR PROFILE

We're looking for someone with: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an infrastructure architect. 

  • Strong background in technical infrastructure, with a plus if you have experience as a network architect. 

  • Expertise in Private Cloud solutions. 

  • Technical skills in security, storage, and other infrastructure areas. 

 

Overview on the technical environment: 

·        Virtualization: VMware vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V 

·        Containerization: Openshift, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS (on-premises or cloud-managed) 

·        Public Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security) 

·        Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL, Rocky), Windows Server 

·        Networking & Security: VLAN, VPN, firewall, DNS, TLS, Zero Trust 

·        Storage: NAS, SAN, backup, snapshots, S3 

·        Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL (integration, high availability) 

·        Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Git, CI/CD 

·        Standards: ISO 27001, NIS2, ITIL, DevSecOps  

 

  • Excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language. 

  • Planning and organizational skills: able to work with strict deadlines, manage stress, and prioritize tasks effectively. 

  • Strong analytical skills: capable of analysing complex problems, identifying key issues, and developing creative solutions. 

  • Security-focused mindset: a deep understanding of security principles and a practical approach to ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure. 

  • Ability to work independently: self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects and tasks with minimal supervision. 

  • Customer-minded and team player: a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
