Cloud infrastructure architect

Job description

We are looking for a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Architect to take an active role in our CCoE but also to act as Public Cloud Product Manager defining our Public Cloud services portfolio and promoting services both internally and to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the Cloud. Any experience in containerization and orchestration is a plus. He/She should have a positive attitude and strong writing and communication skills to effectively share his/her knowledge.

The major roles and responsibilities of the Cloud Architect are:

  • Create a Cloud strategy and manage the adoption process through an innovative approach and a vision focused on market demands
  • Take ownership of the NRB’s Public Cloud services portfolio
  • Decide the operating procedures, data migration and development operations
  • Identify, develop and organize the top Cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the customers
  • Determine how the Cloud infrastructure should be designed and how it should be used to meet the customers’ needs
  • Regularly evaluate Cloud offering of the major Public Cloud providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud-
  • Communicate the designs to the involved technical, security and development teams and guide them to provide customers with efficient services
  • Take part of presales activities to answer requests for proposal, present and defend NRB’s Public Cloud services portfolio to customers; in this context (s)he works in close collaboration with the sales and pre-sales teams
  • Analyzes the needs of customers and prospects, the feasibility of their projects; advises on the possible technical solutions
  • Design, build, and optimize applications' containerization and orchestration with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes
  • Identify and communicate with the major stakeholders and other third parties and partners


The main sought skills and requirements for the Cloud Architect are:

  • Master degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field
  • 3-5+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT Public Cloud solutions
  • Experience with and strong understanding of Cloud-based platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Deep understanding of what a CCoE is
  • Good knowledge of Public Cloud security aspects and solutions
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Java, PHP, Python, and PowerShell
  • experiences with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/Red Hat OpenShift) is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to communicates with customers, partners, business vendors, and high authorities like the CxO levels, Business Units leaders and Team leaders to suggest to them about new Cloud technologies and methods to adopt them
