Data Analyst/ Scientist | Full-time contract | Athens - GR


This position is for a large project implementing extensive business requirements and processes in the scientific and regulation area. Your daily work routine will include:

  • Define, analyse and evaluate requirements for projects by working in close liaison with customer stakeholders and other divisions;
  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports;
  • Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality;
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases;
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets;
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct implementation issues;
  • Data profiling with focus on the six primary dimensions for data quality (DAMA);
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs;
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

    Requirements

    • BSc in Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics;
    • At least 6 years of proven experience and solid knowledge in data analysis and reporting/analytics experience in the area of Information Technology in large scale projects in European Institutions with very large data sets;
    • At least 3 years of experience in an analytical role with exposure to programming with R, Python, SQL including the ability to deal with advanced statistical techniques;
    • Proven working experience with various data formats such as XML and JSON;
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in Data Modeling (e.g., Oracle Data Modeler) and reporting packages (e.g., SAP BO, Power BI);
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques;
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
    • Excellent understanding of data analytics systems, including statistical analysis, analytics methodologies, algorithms and workflows;
    • Understanding of the Agile Software Development methodologies;
    • Experience on queries, report writing and presenting findings
    • Excellent command of English both written and spoken (C1);
    • Fulfilled military obligations.
