Data Engineer | Full-time contract | Athens - GR

Your daily work routine will include:

• Work closely with business analysts to understand the business requirements;

• Create complex Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes;

• Integrate data from various sources following big data integration techniques;

• Monitoring performance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes;

• Defining data retention policies;

• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting;

• Develop and update technical documentation.

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field;

• 4+ years of experience as Data Engineer with expertise in MS Azure technologies;

• Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other ETL/ELT tools and frameworks within the Azure ecosystem.

• Proven experience with Python (Pyspark), Java/Scala, SQL programming languages;

• Experience with other ETL tools (e.g. ODI, Pentaho, Airflow) would be considered as a strong asset;

• Familiarity with data quality frameworks such as Great expectations;

• Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop and NoSQL databases;

• Team player with excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills;

• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative;

• Understanding of the Agile Software Development methodology and test driven development (TDD);

• Excellent command of English both written and spoken (Β2 or higher);

• Flexibility for travelling and able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
