Data Solution Architect | Full-time contract | Athens - GR

The role is referring to what has to be done and the decision on how to do it.


Your daily work routine will include:

  • Take technical decisions regarding ICT consultancy services and data solutions implementation projects and how they impact the tender proposal and/or the delivery of revamped or new products;
  • Successfully address specifications in the context of tendering with adequate level of technical details and quality;
  • Lead and contribute to the inception of new Data Architectures and/or enhancement of the customer’s Enterprise Architecture;
  • Will contextualize existing and new Data Architectures with the other domains of the Enterprise Architecture;
  • When necessary assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it;
  • Resolving technical problems as they arise;
  • Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.

Requirements

  • Higher education or University degree preferably in Information Technology or Computer Engineering with at least 6 years of experience in Solution Architecture for DM&BI (Data Management & Business Intelligence) and Bid Technical Writing for the same area of expertise;
  • Experience in writing for large EU bids in minimum one of the following sectors: European Institutions, Industry, Energy & Utilities, Finance;
  • Working knowledge of at least one Enterprise Architecture Framework (e.g., TOGAF);
  • Has a clear understanding of the infrastructures supporting Data Management and Business Intelligence capabilities (Relational Databases, Data Warehouse, Big Data technologies, Analytics);
  • Experience as a Technical Architect of solutions supporting Scientific Data Management and/or advanced Data Visualization will be considered a plus;
  • Experience as a Technical Architect with hands-on experience on Big Data open-source technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) will be considered a plus;
  • Experience as a Technical Architect of Advanced Analytics solutions will be considered a plus;
  • Is a team player, curious and always updated about new state-of-art technologies;
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Flexibility for travelling when required, willing and able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
