NRB is currently recruiting a Cobol/PL1 mainframe developer to help our client with their digital transformation plan.

Join the IT team of our client active in social insurance sector and participate in IT maintenance or the evolution/implementation of new regulatory or strategic mainframe projects, which may involve business applications (client/server: CICS) or back-office applications.

The programming language standard is PL1, and the database management system is DB2. The standard for front-end applications is CICS.

Mission:

Accounting modernization - processes to be reviewed in hybrid agile/waterfall mode.

Various transformations (application rewriting) and maintenance operations are planned during this mission.

Workflow exchange and synchronization projects on various themes specific to insurance sector.

GDPR - Integration of the notion of private data management into the sector's various applications.

Migration of electronic flows to XML format - Participation in the XML transformation of old data exchange flows to A1 format.

The technical skills required:

• PL1/ CICS /Mainframe /MVS TSO IDZ Zos JCL /DB2 /SQL Debugger Explain for DB2
• Methodological skills Agile/Waterfall task and project management
• Ability to read and understand a functional analysis document written in UML (standard conceptual / functional analysis methodology)
• Tools Knowledge of JIRA / Confluence Mastery of MS Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)

The client is in the center of Brussels, 5-minute walking distance from Central Station. The team consists of analysts, developers, and business analysts – French and/or Dutch speaking. Being able to communicate well in English as well as one or two national languages is required.
