DevOps Engineer| Full-time contract | Athens or remote - GR


Your daily work routine will include:

  • Be a full-time member of the team managing a highly available Azure cloud platform;
  • Code-based machine provisioning and monitoring;
  • L3 support within business hours. Implement workarounds eventually transformed to sustainable solutions;
  • Draft technical documentation and knowledge base articles;
  • Extract customer’s requirements and design services according to requirements;
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards;
  • Ensure that the quality of service delivered is assessed according to performance indicators, notably when formal Service Levels Agreements are foreseen;
  • Work closely together with all Teams and Units in the Organisation to ensure efficient and seamless interdepartmental cooperation at all levels;
  • Contribute technically to projects by taking on and completing key deliverables;
  • Spread the DevOps culture to team members.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field;
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud native technologies, particularly on MS Azure;
  • At least 2 years of experience managing applications hosted on MS Azure;
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Code (e.g. Terraform);
  • Experience in Configuration Management Tools (e.g. Chef, Ansible);
  • Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure Pipelines, Jenkins);
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g. RHEL);
  • Experience with a formal configuration management tool (e.g. Git);
  • Scripting Experience (bash, python, etc.);
  • Experience in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, integration, monitoring and troubleshooting;
  • Experience providing user and system/application support;
  • Certification on MS Azure is a plus;
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies;
  • Technical documentation skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher);
  • Ability to work on an on call basis supporting 24x7 shifts;
  • Good team spirit and accountable for working in a multi-cultural and international environment;
  • Fulfilled military obligations.
