DevOps Engineer (Cloud app) | Full-time contract | Athens - GR


Your daily work routine will include:


  • Be a full-time member of the team managing a highly available ad-hoc cloud platform;
  • Code-based machine provisioning and monitoring;
  • L3 support within business hours. Implement workarounds eventually transformed to sustainable solutions;
  • Draft technical documentation and implement proof-of-concepts to support design decisions;
  • Spread the DevOps culture to team members.

Requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field;
  • At least 7 years of proven professional experience in infrastructure automation;
  • Excellent experience in the Linux operating system;
  • Excellent experience in network administration;
  • Excellent experience in virtualization in both hardware and OS level;
  • Excellent experience in Jenkins pipelines and Git;
  • Familiarity with the Java ecosystem from an operating system viewpoint (e.g. memory model and thread management);
  • Experience in Apache Kafka and Docker will be considered as an extra strong asset;
  • "Automate-everything" culture;
  • Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher);
  • Good team spirit and accountable for working in a multi-cultural and international environment;
  • Fulfilled military obligations.
