We are seeking a Medior F5 Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F5 network solutions and will be responsible for configuration changes following the NRB process. This role will cover a wide range of responsibilities, including managing mutualized and dedicated F5 systems, handling internal and customer projects, and ensuring the smooth operation and lifecycle management of F5 devices.
Responsibilities:
1. Configuration Management:
- Implement and manage configuration changes on F5 devices following the NRB process.
- Ensure all changes are documented and compliant with organizational policies and standards.
2. Project Support:
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver F5-related projects.
- Provide technical expertise and support for project planning, execution, and delivery.
3. Run & Lifecycle Management:
- Monitor and manage F5 devices to ensure high availability and performance.
- Handle incidents, patches, and upgrades to maintain the security and functionality of F5 systems.
- Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of F5 devices.
4. Incident Management:
- Respond to and resolve incidents related to F5 devices.
- Work closely with the IT support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of F5 configurations, changes, and incidents.
- Provide regular reports on the status and performance of F5 devices.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and application teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of F5-related activities.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator, F5 Certified BIG-IP Specialist) are a plus.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as an F5 Engineer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP products, including LTM, GTM, and ASM.
3. Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
- Experience with network security concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and incident management processes.
4. Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based F5 solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios).
