For our customer based in Malta - a European Institution, we are looking for a 2 Senior Project Managers to join our team in the area of international protection - supporting Member States in applying the package of EU laws that governs asyluminternational protection, and reception conditions. You will play a crucial role in providing practicallegaltechnicaladvisory, and operational assistance to achieve harmonized asylum practices.

We need 2 IT professionals, one to be able to work 80% onsite in Malta, and 20% remote, and the other one 100% onsite in Malta. In both cases, you need to be based in Malta, and able to work as a freelancer (B2B) without a need for visa/work permit sponsorship from our company.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Determine and document the project’s goals, deliverables, tasks, and deadlines.

  • Create a detailed project plan outlining the schedule, resources, and milestones.

  • Assign tasks and resources effectively to team members based on their skills and project requirements.

  • Monitor and manage the project resource usage to ensure resources are utilized efficiently.

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.

  • Facilitate collaboration among team members and resolve any conflicts that arise.

  • Track project progress against milestones and timelines to ensure timely completion.

  • Handle any changes in project scope, schedule, or resources effectively.

  • Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed for project success.

  • Address and resolve any issues or roadblocks that hinder project progress.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference and compliance.

  • Conduct project reviews, finalize documentation, and ensure all deliverables are completed and approved.

  • Track and respond to tickets and service requests in a service desk context, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Project coordination and training procedures implementation, using a recognised methodology

  • Project management of digital/ICT-related projects.

Job requirements

Are you the perfect match?

  • University degree (BSc/MSc).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT/project management.

  • Ability to successfully implement PRINCE2 or similar methodologies.

  • Experience in project management related to MS Office, MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Atlassian usage.

  • PM certification (PRINCE2, PM2, PMP).

  • Experience in delivering projects involving technologies such as MS SharePoint, Drupal, MS Dynamics, .NET applications.
