IT Broadcom VMware Engineer

YOUR MISSION
As IT VMware Engineer you will be part of our dynamic and innovative Virtualization Team and you perform as a Subject Matter Expert and focused mainly on managing our VMWare environment and infrastructure integration of new customers.
Your main responsibilities :

• Responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing virtual infrastructures.
• Providing recommendations in accordance with security policies and guidelines.
• Working with Application owners and establishing requirements of the virtualization platform
• Building and Managing ESXi host profiles and Golden images to insure identical deployment in Clusters (best practices and hardening)

• Operate upgrade of hypervisors, operating systems, applications, and other tools in relationship with VMWare infrastructure.
• Maintain, monitor, install, and upgrade Cisco UCS and other vendor x86 hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors to fix defective hardware
• Managing an writing documentation, policies and procedures related to IT virtualized and cloud environments systems.
• Develop and maintain scripts with PowerShell (and PowerCLI).
• Migrate customers platforms in our Virtualization platforms.
• Level 3 operational support.
• Proactively monitor virtualization infrastructure to anticipate and mitigate problems.
• Participate in various activities like:

• Performance and capacity management, patching, version management, hardware support
• Daily administration of VMware infrastructure (vSphere 6.7+)
• Coaching of mid-level engineers

Your skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a virtualization engineer.
• Expertise in VMware ESXi (>=6.7) hosts and guest support and components vCenter, SRM, SRA, vRealize Operations, LogInsight
• Expertise in Enterprise grade hardware solutions.
• Experience with Cisco UCS administration in UCS Manager, Cisco Intersight, Fabric Interconnects, Experience with Cisco UCS Service profiles, templates, polices and pools.
• Experience in Hardware management Tools ( Dell open manage, Xclarity, HP One view ,… ).
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
• ITIL knowledge

• Powershell Scripting & process automation
• Knowledge in DevOp methodologies
• Experience in Cisco ACI networking, IPv6, DNS, …
• Technologies :

• Cisco UCS
• Dell Power Edge / Open Manage
• Hyper-converged infrastructures (VSAN, Nutanix,)
• VMWare Cloud Infrastructure components (Esxi, vcenter, vrops, …)
• VMWare Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
• Storage systems (Dell, Netapp, Unity, Powervault ).
• Microsoft Windows Servers
