We are looking for an experienced IT Service Desk Consultant to support our client in the energy sector. In this role, you will contribute to the reliable and sustainable energy landscape in Belgium by providing essential IT support services. Working within a dynamic and diverse team, you’ll assist users through call and email intake, handle 1st and 2nd line support, create and follow up on tickets in the Helpdesk tool, and perform various technical actions guided by processes and checklists. This role is open to freelancers and payroll employees.


Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Windows 10 and 11 (use, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic understanding of software like MS Visio and Adobe products
  • Basic command of DOS commands
  • Proficiency in Active Directory for user management
  • ITIL certification required (or prepared to get it on short term)
  • Fundamental knowledge of VOIP systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, POE, Wi-Fi, 802.1x, and horizontal cabling
  • Basics of videoconferencing, domotica (meeting room tech), and troubleshooting for smartphones and GPRS
  • Familiarity with staging and setting up hardware (PCs, printers, peripherals)
  • Basic knowledge of VPN, network topology, VMware, and software virtualization

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and/or French, with working knowledge of English
  • Autonomy in task management and high attention to procedural detail
  • Ability to create and update tickets, follow checklists, and ensure quality control
  • Analytical thinking, flexibility, client orientation, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
