THE BACKGROUND
For our customer based in Warsaw, Poland - an European Institution, we are looking for Microsoft Database Administrator to join a long-term mission in the area of cybersecurity, public sector and law enforcement. You will play a key role in managing business architecture, guiding solution designs, and fostering collaboration among business architects and project teams to ensure coherence with the customer’s long-term vision.
YOUR MISSION
Please note that, as the role is hybrid, it requires on‑site presence at the client’s headquarters in Warsaw, and you must be located within a 2–3 hour radius from Warsaw by ground transportation.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
Administration and monitoring database management software
Providing 2nd line support to databases
Update the technical documentation and operating procedures
Troubleshooting databases
Deploying databases
Extracting, transforming and loading data
Planning capacity and availability of databases, tuning and optimizing databases
Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures
Database monitoring and tuning
Database incident management
Other specific duties as assigned by ICT management

Job requirements
YOUR PROFILE
University degree Bachelor’s degree (mandatory)
English level B2 (must either hold a certificate or be open to obtain one)
Holds MCSA or MCSE certificate in data platforms or business intelligence or equivalent
At least 2 years of professional experience relevant to the job
Technical knowledge mastered or to be developed together:
Experienced in administration of complex MS SQL based systems deployed in distributed environments
Expert in optimizing, tuning and planning capacity of databases
Experience in scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations and ETL tools
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms in distributed enterprise level systems
Hands-on experience in monitoring systems based on MS SCOM
Hands-on experience in management of Opens Source databases and data manipulation tools including PostgreSQL and its extensions
Experience in ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes
Hands-on experience in administering virtual infrastructures
Basic knowledge in administering Microsoft Systems
Soft skills:
A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation
Good communication skills
Able to cope with the fast changing technologies
