Project Manager | Full-time contract | Athens - GR

Your daily work routine will include:


  • Running projects on a day-to-day basis and producing the required products and results, to the required standards of quality and within the specified constraints of time and costs;
  • Direct and motivate project teams as well as monitor their performance and activity; prioritise workloads/timelines for teams and budgets;
    Plan and monitor projects, prepare required project plans, manage risks, including the development of contingency plans, issues and dependency logs; 
  • Be responsible for change control and any required configuration management;
  • Identify opportunities for team development, conduct team meetings and problem resolution;
  • Perform auditing and quality checking with the aim of producing any necessary reports like quality plans;
  • Manage projects through the entire software development life-cycle (from the formulation of its business case to its final rollout to production);
  • Communicate with clients at several layers, being the liaison between IT and Business users with the aim of identifying the business needs;
  • Be able to translate the business requirements into actionable work plans;
  • Monitor operational aspects of the data integration process and interdependencies with other systems and lay out any release and communications plan;
  • Reporting on SLI’s under SLA agreements.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, MBA or related field;
  • Minimum 7 years in IT of which minimum 5 years hands-on experience in project management of computer software or data management construction;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in project(s) following some of the following practices: Agile/SCRUM/RUP/Disciplined Agile practices for software development; 
  • Certification in any project management area is a requirement (like PMP, Prince2 etc.);
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken (C1);
  • Proven experience with project management and team collaboration software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian, Confluence etc.)
  • Excellent writing skills – the individual will be required to produce professional reports;
  • Ability to converse with people of differing technical expertise – a great balance of technical, commercial and people skills is required; ability to manage the client’s expectations;
  • Understanding of the various stages of the testing and quality process;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as well as plan and delegate responsibilities;
  • Excellent communicational and organizational skills as well as sound judgement, and the ability to discern key issues and deal with them effectively;
  • Ability to take initiatives, integrate in a team and monitor results and risks of IT projects;
  • Availability for frequent travel and able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment.
