For our customer based in Warsaw, Poland - an European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Poland to join a long-term mission in the area of cybersecurity, public sector and law enforcement. The client is expanding its ICT capabilities to support the Operations Directorate (OPS) through a growing portfolio of digital initiatives. With increasing complexity and interdependencies across projects, the OPS Portfolio requires dedicated support to ensure strategic alignment, smooth execution, and effective stakeholder coordination. As a consultant, you’ll work closely with the OPS Portfolio Manager and other key stakeholders to help plan, manage, and deliver ICT projects that directly impact operational efficiency and digital transformation.

For the needs of the client, you need be based in the area of Warsaw (~2 hours by ground transportation), and you will have the flexibility to work on hybrid mode (once a week in the office/home). If the process is successful, the start of your mission will be in October, 2025.

More specifically, you will be responsible for…

  • Supporting the OPS Portfolio Manager in daily and strategic activities.

  • Organizing and maintaining the Portfolio Support Office (site, calendar, reporting).

  • Coordinating planning, monitoring, and reporting across OPS initiatives.

  • Managing internal stakeholders including Business Managers, Product Owners, and SMEs.

  • Preparing project documentation (PIR, BC, Project Charter) aligned with PM2 and DIG standards.

  • Managing smaller or early-stage engagements within the OPS Portfolio.

  • Deputizing for Project Managers when requested.

  • Providing end-to-end project management for assigned ICT projects.

  • Ensuring project controls, quality assurance, and milestone tracking.

  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Job requirements

Are you the perfect match?

  • Education: Master’s degree or Postgraduate University diploma.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management within IT or digital transformation domains.

  • Language Proficiency: English at CEFR Level C1, officially certified by a recognized authority.

  • Certification: At least one of the following:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • PM² Agile

  • Proven experience in leading at least one medium-to-large ICT project as a Project Manager.

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with project management methodologies, including PM² and Agile practices.

  • Proven ability to organize and support ICT portfolios or programmes.

  • Familiarity with current technologies and trends relevant to public sector ICT projects.

  • Experience in the area of Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments Business Continuity, and Information Security Risk Assessment in the environment of EU Institutions, understanding its challenges and methods for conducting effective analysis/assessment in those areas.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Adaptability to changing environments and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Experience working with or for public sector entities, preferably EU institutions or international organizations.
