For our customer based in Warsaw, Poland - an European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Poland to join a long-term mission in the area of cybersecurity, public sector and law enforcement. Our client is managing two strategic IT initiatives: EBCG FADO, an EU-wide system supporting border management and document security, and Shifts Management, an internal application for operational planning and resource allocation. Both projects are in active development, with initial production deployments planned and further enhancements expected. This role ensures timely delivery, quality, and compliance with the client’s standards, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including EU institutions.
For the needs of the client, you need be based in the area of Warsaw (~2 hours by ground transportation), and you will have the flexibility to work on hybrid or remote mode. If the process is successful, the start of your mission will be in February, 2026.
More specifically, you will be responsible for…
Manage full project lifecycle for EBCG FADO and Shifts Management projects in alignment with PM2 and client’s standards.
Establish and maintain project controls, monitoring milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to guarantee alignment with business objectives.
Ensure quality assurance of project outputs, applying best practices and standards throughout development and implementation phases.
Identify, track, and resolve project-related issues, risks, and scope changes, providing clear escalation and mitigation strategies.
Liaise with Project Boards and key stakeholders, facilitating decision-making and maintaining transparent communication across internal and external parties.
Plan and control delivery processes, including task assignment, workload balancing, and motivating project team members to achieve objectives.
Produce comprehensive project documentation, such as plans, logs, schedules, and governance materials, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Prepare and present reports and project presentations, delivering concise updates and recommendations to steering committees and stakeholders.
Organize and lead project meetings and workshops, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, and next steps.

Job requirements
Are you the perfect match?
Education: Master’s degree or Postgraduate University diploma.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in project management within IT or digital transformation domains.
Language Proficiency: English at CEFR Level C1, officially certified by a recognized authority.
Certification: At least one of the following:
PRINCE2 Practitioner
Project Management Professional (PMP)
PM² Essential
PM² Advanced
Possesses a thorough understanding of IT and its application to business needs Is conversant with current technologies and trends relevant to the project and the relevant Specific Contracts.
Hands-on experience in the area of Security: Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments, Business Continuity, and Information Security Risk Assessment in the environment of EU Institutions, understands its challenges and methods for conducting effective analysis/assessment in those areas
Excellent conflict management and resolution skills.
Experience working for/at the public sector, preferably in International organizations or EU Institutions.
