For one of our main clients based in Brussels - a European Institution, we are looking for a BI Data Engineer proactively for future incoming requests.

We are seeking a candidate to design modern Business Intelligence (BI) architectures, focusing on data lakes and data lakehouses. The role involves:

• Designing BI architectures for various environments with a focus on security and compliance.

• Analyzing business requirements for data pipelines and reporting solutions.

• Implementing ETL/ELT processes and data virtualization layers.

• Developing data models, reporting applications, and optimizing database schema.

• Conducting database performance analysis, implementing data quality frameworks, and defining test programs.

• Producing technical documentation and managing BI systems.

• Ensuring data security, optimizing BI platforms, and enabling self-service BI capabilities.

Expertise and Technologies:

• Enterprise data warehouse design

• Data lake and lakehouse design patterns

• Relational and non-relational databases

• SQL

• BI reporting and analytics tools

• ETL and ELT tools

• Modelling tools for data flows

• OLAP technologies and data mining tools

• Near real-time data ingestion and CDC technologies

• Cloud BI architectures

• Data governance and observability practices

• Master’s + ≤10 years

• Bachelor’s + ≤12 years
