For one of our main clients based in Strasbourg, France - an European Institution, we are looking for a Senior Biometrics Specialist to join our Cyber Security sector in the area of freedom, security and justice.


More specifically, you will be responsible for...

  • Providing subject matter expertise on biometric matching operations, workflows and staffing issues for a proposed program in support of international security;
  • Collaborating on project development as a biometric/technical AFIS operations subject matter expert. Evaluation and reporting of biometric workflows, efficiencies, and quality control issues, enabling the documentation of improved workflows and methodologies;
  • Participating in the development of written technical proposals and supporting documents;
  • Supporting the definition of biometric performance requirements for the individual business domains. Analyse the result of the accuracy measurement activities and prepare corrective recommendations if necessary;
  • Analysing operational logs and prepare reports with recommendations;
  • Following-up on technical innovations of relevant biometric solutions (algorithms, standards, systems, issues) at academy and industry levels;
  • Providing technical contribution to the biometric working group meetings with external stakeholders.

Please note that the position requires onsite presence in Strasbourg and relocation to France will be mandatory.

Job requirements

Are you the perfect match?

• Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after the secondary school.

9 years of professional experience in IT, including 5 years using 3M-Cogent, Morpho/IDEMIA or equivalent Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) technology (for large-scale IT systems);

• 3 or more of the above years' experience in biometric workflow and/or technical operations with AFIS/biometric systems supporting border control;

• Knowledge of international biometric data standards;

• Experience in fingerprint, palm-print and facial image processing solutions, concepts, data quality and accuracy principles, data protection constraints.
