BACKGROUND
We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Architect to work on the design and the implementation aspects of our projects.
For example, one of our strategic projects involves the creation of a comprehensive Data Lakehouse platform that integrates both Business Intelligence (BI) and operational aspects.
This position is pivotal in driving our data strategy forward and supporting our data-driven decision-making processes.
YOUR TEAM
You will be joining our Data & AI competence center.
The team consists of around 70 colleagues (Data Scientists, Data Analysts, BI Consultants, Data Architects). Your future manager will be Didier Brabant.
YOUR MISSION
As a Senior Data architect, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration, management, and utilization across various platforms and tools.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement a Lakehouse platform that combines BI and operational data aspects using DataVault 2.0, Data Hub, Operational Vault, PIT & Bridge, Cloud BI Exadata, SAP BI, MicroStrategy, and other relevant technologies.
- Data Lineage Implementation: Participate in the implementation of a Data Lineage system.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance the Data platform continuously, incorporating frameworks for scheduling, server monitoring or new functionalities to facilitate the development capabilities.
- Data Best Practice Enhancement: help to the definition of the development best practice for data analysts/developers.
- Tender Support: Support responses to tenders related to the implementation of Data Services. Define/explain the NRB’s service data offering to our new customers.
- Certification Maintenance: Maintain certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Azure or AWS, ITIL, and DMBOK V2.

Job requirements
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong background in DataVault 2.0, Kimball/Inmon methodologies, and Data Management tools.
Technical knowledge mastered or to be developed together:
Storage -Proficiency with DMBS (DB2/zOS, Exadata, SAP Hana, SAP BW, Teradata, SQL Server).
Big Data - Experience with Hive, HBase, Spark.
Data Management - Knowledge of Data Catalogue (ASG, Quest, Collibra) and Data Quality (Informatica) tools.
- ETL/ELT/BI Automation- Experience with tools such as Wherescape, Informatica, SAS DI, Talend.
- Cloud - Proficiency in Azure and AWS.
- Analytics - Familiarity with SAP BO, MicroStrategy, Power BI.
- API Management -Understanding and management of API, API REST.
- Salesforce - Basic knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
Certifications - TOGAF, Microsoft Azure or AWS, ITIL, DMBOK V2.
Languages: Native French, Fluent English.
Soft skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to mentor and elevate team members.
