ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of a flat-organisation team, based in the JRC campus in Ispra (Italy). The JRC campus is hosting a vibrant community of approximately 2.500 top-notch researchers, engineers and senior scientists, eager to resolve current and future challenges related to energy, nuclear safety, climate change and more.

Requirements

MUST-HAVE

  • Solid hands-on skills developing and designing web apps and services with Java 
  • In-depth experience working with JavaScript and JS frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of AJAX connections, Tomcat, SOA (REST) and XML
  • University Master Degree or equivalent
  • Excellent skills in English

 

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Working knowledge of HTTP, RDBMS (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
  • Versioning tools (i.e. Git)
  • Past experience working within multicultural teams
