For one of our main clients based in Warsaw, Poland we are looking for a Mid-Level SharePoint Developer willing to work as a freelancer (ideally already set up as a freelancer in a EU member state/country) for an EU intergovernmental agency responsible for supporting EU Member States in coordinating and managing external border security.

The organisation provides strategic guidance, operational support, risk analysis, and cross-border cooperation to ensure safe, lawful, and efficient mobility at Europe’s external frontiers.

The role will be performed in Near-Site meaning you must live within 2-hour radius of the Warsaw, Poland premises.

Remote working mode but must be able to go on-site upon request (hence the 2-hour radius).

Start date: February 2026

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing the system.

  • Leading development teams.

  • Translating requirements into design.

  • Optimizing software for performance, security, and quality.

  • Producing technical documentation.

  • Estimating effort and time for development.

  • Setting software development standards.

  • Proposing technical solutions for business needs and technical problems.

  • Collecting and interpreting software metrics.

  • Managing configuration and releases.

  • Contributing to requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment.

  • Testing solutions and developing testing tools.

  • Documenting developments.

  • Prototyping solutions.

  • Acting as 2nd and 3rd line support.

Job requirements

Are you the perfect match?

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in IT

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SharePoint software development

  • University degree (completed BSc/MSc).

  • Minimum B2 level of English

  • An advanced level certificate in software development

  • Mastery of Sharepoint and Sharepoint platform-specific tools

  • Testing capabilities

  • Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the solution

  • Expertise in developing enterprise level software systems in SharePoint

  • Knowledge of UML and can design applications in UML

  • Proficiency in designing and developing: data layer, business logic layer and UI layer

  • Experience working in Scrum developments
