System Administrator/ DevOps Engineer (Linux Domain) |Full-time contract | Athens - GR
Your daily work routine will include:
Extract customer’s requirements and design services according to requirements;
Define and coordinate the delivery of IT services by effectively applying the IT service management procedures;
Optimise the delivery of services making efficient use of internal and outsourcing contracts;
Ensure services are delivered in accordance to the service descriptions and defined service levels;
Ensure that the quality of service delivered is assessed according to performance indicators, notably when formal Service Levels Agreements are foreseen;
Coordinate and manage external contractors; Provide timely and accurate reports;
Work closely together with all Teams and Units in the Organisation to ensure efficient and seamless interdepartmental cooperation at all levels. Apply the ICT procurement standard practices;
Know when to jump-in and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment;
Contribute technically to projects by taking on and completing key deliverables.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology with one year in a relevant position;
At least 5 years of experience in systems architecture;
Familiarity with various common Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL and CentOS);
Extensive experience in CISCO Routers & Switches, Security Appliances, CISCO, Blue Coat, Check Point, F5, Palo Alto;
Experience with Load Balancing (F5, CITRIX NetScaler, Radware/Alteon, A10, etc.);
Experience in developing, designing and planning security concepts with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN systems (Juniper, CISCO);
Familiar with routing and switching protocols and technologies (QoS, PBR, STP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, IPSec, VoIP, Wireless, etc.);
Experience with network debugging (packet tracing, capture, etc.);
Experience in configuring domain information utilities, such as Active Directory, LDAP and DNS;
Experience with vSphere Client 5.1/VM, virtualization technologies;
Familiarity with open-Source Software tools and development experience in one or more of the following popular OSS: Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript;
Experience with a formal configuration management tool, using Subversion, Git;
Experience with developing automation workflows/routines using industry leading tools, including OpenSource Tools (Chef/Puppet/Hudson), or Vendor Based Tools (HPSA/OO, vCAC, uDeploy);
Experience with Deployment and Monitoring tools;
Experience using cloud based hosting solutions;
5+ years of practical working experience in design, implementation & support of medium-large scale internetworking solutions;
Advantageous Qualifications: ITIL certification, CISCO certifications: CCSP or CCNP, Red Hat Certified System Administrator; Experience with ORACLE RDBMS administration and performance tuning;
Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies;
Technical documentation skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher);
Good team spirit and accountable for working in a multi-cultural and international environment;
