For one of our main clients based in Luxembourg - major financial institution, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with experience in banking products/financial domain to join our team in the area of finance, governance, and software development. You’ll be part of a collaborative Agile team working on OMEGA, a key internal application that helps streamline how counterparties are onboarded and monitored. The system plays a central role in improving compliance, data quality, and operational efficiency across the organization. Built with technologies like PEGA and Kafka, OMEGA is designed to be scalable and adaptable, supporting the institution’s broader digital transformation goals.
The role will be performed in 100% onsite mode (5 days in the office) based in Luxembourg, therefore being based in Luxembourg area or relocation to Luxembourg will be required. The mission is long-term - 3 years and it is envisioned to start in September 2025.
As a Test Engineer, you will perform the following tasks:
Absorb Testing Knowledge – Quickly understand existing testing strategies, tools, and environments.
Review Test Documentation – Validate test cases and scenarios; identify gaps or outdated content.
Raise Issues – Proactively flag blockers to knowledge transfer or test execution.
Ensure Continuity – Maintain testing practices and support ongoing test cycles during transitions.
Identify Gaps – Spot untested areas, edge cases, and inconsistencies in coverage.
Support Team Onboarding – Share testing insights and help ramp up QA capabilities.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with developers and analysts to clarify requirements.
Participate in Agile Ceremonies – Engage in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Define & Execute Tests – Create and run manual or automated test scenarios based on user stories.
Contribute to Quality Assurance – Ensure high standards of reliability and performance in the product.

Job requirements
Are you the perfect match?
University degree (BSc/MSc);
Strong knowledge of Software Testing fundamentals, including the test levels (unit, integration, system and acceptance testing) and test types (functional and non functional testing);
Experience in test design and test execution of the different test types and levels, including functional, regression, and integration testing;
Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, or equivalent;
Ability to document and report defects clearly, work collaboratively with development teams, and support issue investigation and resolution;
Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and principles;
Experience with test automation tools such as TestNG and Selenium;
Hands-on experience in testing PEGA applications, including PEGA-specific test scenarios and rule validations is a big plus.
